Best Wedding Venues Melbourne | Wedding Venues Melbourne
A few of Karine Hart’s favourites…
As a Marriage Celebrant, I quite often get asked where the best or where my favourite wedding venues are in Melbourne… So, here are some of my favourites (in no particular order), where I enjoy officiating marriages. There are so many options in Melbourne and these are just a few I enjoy visiting, including areas in bayside, and the Dandenong Ranges.
I have worked here a few times over the years and simply love The Brighton Savoy. Depending on your guest numbers and the availability, there are various locations to choose to have your ceremony within this bayside venue, such as the Gala Atrium, Wellington Room or the Seaview Courtyard. You can then pop across the road if you like and have some beach photos taken before enjoying your wedding reception with delicious food options! Accommodation is also available.

Sails on the Bay
In beautiful bayside Elwood, Sails on the Bay is great for those wanting a beach vibe wedding, whilst being sheltered from the elements. It’s on the foreshore in Elwood and the terrace space and the private dining room are beautiful and light filled so capturing great memories is a breeze. With the option of easily heading onto the beach front before your wedding reception begins (and perhaps at sunset), you’ll have no shortage of awesome photos of your special day!

I really enjoy working in the Dandenong Ranges and Tatra Receptions is perfect for those wanting a secluded spot to host their wedding. With the option of outdoor area (the cupola) or the chapel with floor to ceiling windows, it’s a perfect spot no matter what season it is! The cozy Ballroom features stunning views of the gardens, for everyone to enjoy during the reception. Accommodation is also available.

This lovely venue situated near Sherbrooke Forest has the option of a sunken garden which has a lot of character. With an old-English style vibe, Marybrooke Manor is an option for those wanting a traditional wedding and even has a wine garden where your guests can enjoy pre dinner drinks! The gardens are beautifully manicured and look wonderful no matter what the season is. Accommodation is also available.
Old Cheese Factory Berwick
A lovely historic venue in Berwick with a story to tell! The Old Cheese Factory is perfect for those wanting a relaxed vibe on their big day. The gardens are cheery and colourful and you have the option of using the indoor chapel in case of inclement weather. The photo opportunities are endless here with the historic buildings and the ceremony set up is always proficient. Reception options can include Marquee (or even Tipi Hire!)
I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about some of my favourite wedding venues in and around Melbourne! If you would like to discuss your wedding ceremony with me, please don’t hesitate to be in touch! I look forward to hearing from you!
Scott and Megan’s wedding at The Brighton Savoy
Scott and Megan…. so much fun is pretty much them in a nutshell! Our meetings included a lot of laughter and it was no surprise to see their light hearted theme come together so well in the Wellington Room at the Brighton Savoy.
Before we started, I had to get a token selfie with the groom!
It was a rainy January day but it didn’t deter anyone from enjoying themselves in the indoor comfort of the venue.
Comfort was a big factor in shoe wear also with the boys wearing Vans and Megan wearing her yellow converse!
DJ Bruce Harrison also created this awesome light feature for the day…
Beautiful flower arrangements were created by Scott’s Aunt.
Both Scott and Megan wrote their own heartfelt vows.
We included a sand ceremony using blue and red to match their fun superman theme!
Before the ceremony ended, I had the pleasure of reading one of my favourite Dr Seuss quotes:-
“We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.”
“Married life is good .
Thanks for everything , for being a calm force. It was a wonderful ceremony I can’t speak more highly about you. All the guests were chatting about our quirky, wonderful celebration and our service all night.
Thanks so much!
Hope u like the photos I really love the one of u and Scott taking selfies.
Thanks Megan and Scott”
Thank you to Scott and Megan for being a great couple to work with and for choosing me as their marriage celebrant!

Bayside Wedding Group Bridal Expo
I had a lot of fun at the bayside wedding group bridal expo which was held at The Brighton Savoy on 14th September.
Along with giving away chocolate packs, one lucky bride was going to be the owner of a funky geo candle holder with everything in it valued at over $400!
As the day went on, it was lovely meeting so many couples and having a friendly chat with them all about my services.
The 40 plus vendors had lots of fun as the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Couples were treated to cake tastings, dancing, music, coffees and were able to look at bespoke dress design, suit options, jewellery, decorating ideas for their big day plus much more!
That following week, I met with Amanda and Dwayne who are organising their Brighton Savoy wedding and were super happy to be the winners of my prize!
If you are looking for friendly and experienced wedding suppliers for your wedding day, please head over to Bayside Wedding Group!

Chloe & Mitchell’s wedding at The Brighton Savoy
When I met with Chloe and Mitchell last year, I knew that this was going to be a fun wedding for everyone involved. Each meeting had lots of laughter and enjoyment and I really had a great time putting together their personalised relaxed ceremony.
Their wedding was held in the stunning Gala Atrium at The Brighton Savoy and as guests arrived, it was time to chat to the boys and get them ready for the girls’ arrival.
As the ceremony was about to start, I could see that everyone was in such high spirits! There were cheers and well wishes as Chloe entered the room with her mother and brother by her side to the beautiful 1000 Years
Their personalised story had a bit of everything, lots of love, lots of humour and lots of emotion all round.
After reading their vows and exchanging rings, we did a sand ceremony to represent the blending of their lives into one.
It was soon time for Mitchell to kiss his bride and the crowd went wild! The cheers of congratulations filled the room and I was so happy to witness such a joyous occasion with family and friends showing their overwhelming support.
I wish Chloe and Mitchell all the very best in their married life together. I’m sure there will be continued love, fun and laughs shared between them both.
” We were so happy and grateful for all the effort you went to and the ceremony was beautiful; all our guests loved it and said you were perfect.“
Photos thanks to Ivan at Rosa Photography who captured Chloe and Mitchell’s personalities perfectly!
